Sucessfully Completing Work on oDesk

Getting the job is only the first process of building your oDesk reputation and becoming a favorite (and profitable) provider on oDesk. Working with buyers can sometimes be tricky – and expect to get as many "bad bosses" as you would when working an in-person job. To make getting the job done easier, follow these guidelines:
  • Keep the buyer up-to-date regarding your progress on the project.
  • Ask questions as needed, never make assumptions about the buyer's needs.
  • Meet the deadlines that the buyer has established or let the buyer know well in advance that you will need more time.
  • For hourly assignments, log all of your time through the oDesk Team client; seek permission from the buyer before adding offline time.
