Finding Work on odesk

Once you have completed your profile and taken the oDesk Readiness test, you are ready to apply for jobs. To apply for jobs, you will click on:

Find Providers and Jobs --> Find Jobs --> Choose a Job Category or Skill

The first job that you see under your chosen job category or skill will be the most recently posted job. By scrolling down, you can visit other job openings. Each job opening will contain most of the information about the job, including job title, hourly budget or fixed price budget, and skills that the buyer is looking for. If a job interests you, you will click on "apply" to begin the application process. Keep in mind that the work at home job search at WhyDoWork.com includes all listings from oDesk and a multitude of other freelance sites. When applying, you will be prompted to a screen that asks you to enter your hourly rate or bid for a fixed price project (more on that later), the estimated timeframe for completion, and to accept the oDesk Marketplace User Agreement. The next part of the application process is to craft a pleasing "cover letter".
